This course is finance training for those with a non-finance background, and aims to demystify charity accountancy processes.

The workshop will cover the basics of charity finance, developing budgets, reading balance sheets and developing the infrastructure to support your organisation's finances.

We're delighted to welcome Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy to deliver the first half of this session via webinar. One of Arts Council England's National Portfolio Organisations their mission is to strengthen arts and cultural organisations’ resilience and sustainability by transforming their fundraising knowledge, skills and levels of success.

What will I learn?

  • Identifying financial documents that a charity must publish
  • How to develop a budget
  • Key reporting areas of financial management and financial control procedures
  • Finance and the implication on collections
  • Understanding the role/responsibilities of a treasurer and the role of Trustees in relation to the finances of the charity.
